The Beginning of the New Spring in 2022: Prayers, Gratitude, and Blessings

As the new spring of 2022 begins, we offer our deepest prayers for all living beings and for our beloved Earth. May peace reign across the world, may the weather be gentle and harmonious, may diseases vanish, worries disappear, suffering cease, and may joy and harmony dwell eternally among us.

We express our profound gratitude to the Greatest Creator of the universe, for revealing such splendid and breathtaking beauty to the world. We are thankful for all the blessings and arrangements given by the Buddha and the Greatest Creator. Under Your guidance and encouragement, our lives are becoming increasingly beautiful and smooth, and our souls are evolving toward higher realms. We are also grateful to our spiritual and mental guides for their continuous and meticulous instruction and support, and to our fellow travelers on the path of spiritual practice for their companionship and mutual encouragement as we ascend together toward enlightenment.

The ringing of the New Year’s bell brings with it new hopes and dreams. Our hearts are filled with love and distant longing, transformed into the sincerest blessings. We extend our New Year’s greetings to all the celestial beings in the Lifechanyuan!

We wish our most beloved guide and Ehuang in Canada a blessed Year of the Tiger, full of health, happiness, and fulfillment. May they remain eternally youthful and vibrant, with happiness blossoming like a garden of flowers.

We also send our best wishes to all our heavenly family scattered across the world. May the new year bring the fulfillment of their aspirations, progress in their spiritual practice, and ascension to higher realms, step by step, toward the celestial paradise.

Next, please enjoy scenes from our pre-New Year visit to the flower market, where we purchased fresh flowers and decorations, as well as our preparations for the New Year’s Eve dinner. This time, Huiyi invited our landlord Pitoy and our neighbor Long Pao to join us in celebrating the New Year’s Eve, as a gesture of gratitude. The three of us worked together to prepare the festive dinner, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere typical of communal life. Guang made his classic fried banana chips and took on most of the dumpling-making tasks. Huiyi, as usual, showcased his expertise in rolling thin, beautiful dumpling wrappers, so we naturally relied on his help. My main responsibility was cooking some side dishes. Our dinner menu included a fruit platter, a candy and snack platter, cabbage and radish pork dumplings, cumin-flavored fried sausages, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, “nian nian you yu” (symbolizing abundance year after year), stir-fried chicken hearts with peppers, fried chicken legs, cold black fungus salad, and broccoli stir-fried with king oyster mushrooms, along with fruit juice drinks. We then watched the CCTV New Year’s Gala together, feeling content, joyful, and thankful to the Greatest Creator for watching over us and allowing us to enjoy a happy and blissful evening. 2022-2-1
