The Pursuit of Real Happiness and Joy

There is nothing in the world that cannot be done—only things yet to be imagined. All impossibilities stem from the narrowness and limitations of our thinking. Take Lifechanyuan, for example: it encompasses boundless time and space and the myriad mysteries of the universe. Here lies not only the source of real happiness and joy in this life, but also the path to happiness and joy beyond time and space. It does not restrain the development of individual character or deprive anyone of their personal possessions. It does not force anyone to follow another person’s will, nor does it impose any obligatory duties. This is a land of freedom, a paradise of love, like fresh and pure air that can be breathed freely without cost or condition.
Here, there are no religious rituals or regular meetings to constrain people, no political rules or compulsory ideological training to control them. There are no burdensome obligations between relatives and friends, nor the ruthless, life-or-death competition and constant vigilance found in criminal organizations. Lifechanyuan does not oppose governments or quarrel with national leaders. It does not pursue supernatural powers or seek the grand achievements of heroes. Everything proceeds naturally, in effortless action, shaped through the unchanging and ever-changing Tao. Dreams can come true here. People cannot imagine this—simply because their thinking is too narrow and constrained.
The pursuit of real happiness and joy begins by entering Lifechanyuan. If your soul is not in Lifechanyuan, there can be no real happiness or joy. From presidents and billionaires to celebrities and scholars of all kinds, their lives may appear carefree, but beneath the surface lies inner emptiness and restlessness. As for ordinary people, they spend their entire lives chasing happiness and joy—yet do they ever truly attain it? No. Without entering Lifechanyuan, it is simply impossible to achieve real happiness and joy in this life.
Spiritual realization is a wondrous experience—so exquisite it makes one tremble. When one is deeply immersed in love and being loved, happiness and joy naturally arise. When mutual love among people merges with the universal love of the Greatest Creator, the moment becomes eternal, and eternity becomes a moment. Such an experience is a bliss only known to Celestial Beings and is unimaginable to ordinary mortals.
Lifechanyuan appears powerless, nameless, and without worldly gain, yet it purifies the soul and elevates the quality of LIFE. A person who clings stubbornly to their own opinions, who is full of worldly vulgarity, who is always criticizing others, who is unwilling to love or afraid to receive love, who is filled with hatred, who drifts aimlessly through life without striving for growth, who is lazy and parasitic, who harbors jealousy at others’ success, who refuses to praise or celebrate others, who is overly cautious and mistrustful—even of the Greatest Creator, their parents, or their lover, who is trapped in outdated traditions and hostile to new ideas, who is highly learned and wise but aloof and unwilling to journey with others, who seeks to control others, who cannot tolerate criticism and believes themselves flawless—such people can hardly enter Lifechanyuan, much less become Chanyuan Celestials.
I wish to become a flying steed, carrying Chanyuan Celestials through the vastness of space and time. I wish to become a servant to the Chanyuan Celestials, washing their feet. I am willing to devote my LIFE to the Chanyuan Celestials. I gladly accept their teasing and playful roughhousing. I long to merge with them, blending their love with mine into an eternal rainbow. Beloved Teacher Jesus taught me, "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Revered Buddha Shakyamuni taught that the offering of soul and wisdom far surpasses the offering of Seven Treasures even if they are as numerous as the sands of the Ganges. The Chanyuan Celestials are my treasure—my heart belongs to them. I offer them neither money nor power, but I will share with them the mysteries of LIFE. If you are willing to let me be your guide, I can surely lead you into the blissful world of heaven.
What is real happiness and joy? When I read the articles of Foshan Celestial, the comments of Taiji Celestial, the praises of Penglai Celestial and Bailing Celestial, the heartfelt words and images shared by Wannian Celestial, the deep expressions of truth from Qiannian Celestial—I feel true happiness and joy. To me, these are delicacies and rare treasures. Power may earn temporary awe, wealth may offer temporary comfort, fame may bring fleeting praise, but the treasure I have gained—without power, wealth, or fame—is truly eternal. In the same way, every Chanyuan Celestial enjoys the same joy and happiness as I do.
To pursue real happiness and joy, we must begin with spiritual sensitivity. Only when our soul’s frequency resonates with the frequency of the Greatest Creator’s spirit can we tap into infinite joy and happiness. Even physical discomfort and disease originate from the impurities of the soul. When the soul is purified, illness disappears.
To pursue real happiness and joy, we must not become obsessed with possession. Do not cling to “this is my country, my ethnicity, my political party, my religion, my family, my husband, my wife, my…” The more we cling, the more we suffer. The more we suffer, the less happiness and joy we experience.
To pursue real happiness and joy, we must be humble. Know this: the Earth will keep turning without us. No one is so great that the world would stop without them. In fact, not only would strangers continue living without us, even our family and friends would carry on—and perhaps even better. So what makes us think we are so important?
To pursue real happiness and joy, we need the spirit and courage of selfless dedication. Only through selfless giving can true happiness and joy be attained. A person who is always calculating personal gain will never achieve a joyful life.
I have a dream: that every woman may have a hundred husbands and every man a hundred wives. This dream is not hard to realize—the key lies in breaking free from the constraints of purposeful action. All intentional actions are illusions like dreams and bubbles. Humanity has long been trapped in the realm of purposeful action. If we can break free from it in our minds, we can enter a marvelous space and time. This dream may seem shocking and incomprehensible to the worldly mind, but it aligns with the will of the Greatest Creator. The Creator put us on Earth to enjoy life’s happiness and joy—not to suffer. It is not the Creator who is stingy or cruel—it is humans themselves. My dream also aligns with human nature. Only when one’s heart is filled with love can they truly give passionate love to others and to the world.
Affection and love are major sources of happiness and joy. Love can make a 60-year-old feel the wonder of a first love, full of vitality and hope for the future. Love purifies the soul and elevates character. Only with affection and love can we attain true happiness and joy. Imagine: one hundred people you adore are in love with you, and you love one hundred people who stir your soul—what kind of world would that be?
A person’s greatest potential is awakened only in an ocean of love. Their deepest creative passion is released only in the waves of love. Married people can reflect: if spouses love and respect each other, they will be confident and devoted to building a beautiful home. But if they argue constantly, how can they focus on building a happy life? Living with someone you don’t love and who doesn’t love you will instantly turn heaven into hell.
The views of Lifechanyuan on love and affection conflict with Christianity, Buddhism, and secular society. They are not easily understood or accepted by the masses. I merely offer my dream as food for thought for Chanyuan Celestials. You are free to critique and express your views. If we find a shared belief and everyone is willing, we can begin to implement a concrete plan, expanding our brief lives into an infinite reality of happiness and joy.
Buddhism teaches of 84,000 paths to enlightenment. Likewise, there are 84,000 ways to pursue real happiness and joy. I merely offer a spark, hoping to ignite a nuclear explosion of insight, freeing our thinking from the shackles of tradition and spreading it through the boundless space-time of the universe, until we discover the true path to real happiness and joy.
