Dialogue Between Xuefeng and Sakyamuni
Xuefeng
Xuefeng: Following Jesus’ guidance, I journeyed to the Gods Land. Along the way, I learned that Sakyamuni had gone to the Supreme Enlightenment Continent, so I proceeded directly there. From a distance, I saw Sakyamuni waiting to greet me, radiating brilliant multicolored Buddhist light.
Sakyamuni: Emissary of the Holy Spirit, what scripture have you come to seek?
Xuefeng: O Supreme Buddha of Infinite Wisdom, I seek your guidance to dispel my doubts.
Sakyamuni: Follow destiny and adapt accordingly.
Xuefeng: May I receive your divine blessing?
Sakyamuni: The great calamity is near. You may receive it.
Xuefeng: As you entrusted me, I have completed four tasks:
The world mistakenly believes that you are the Ancestral Tathagata Buddha. I have informed people that you are not the Ancestral Tathagata Buddha—the Greatest Creator is the true Ancestral Tathagata Buddha. After reading the final verse of the Diamond Sutra, people often fall into a state of emptiness. You were referring to conditioned dharmas leading to emptiness, but they misunderstood. I have supplemented the teachings with insights on unconditioned dharma. I have appointed Foshan Celestial as the seventh-generation patriarch to spread the Buddhist teachings you imparted within Lifechanyuan. I have provided a concise description of the Western Pure Land that you spoke of. Sakyamuni: Well done!
Xuefeng: Yet people still cannot break free from the prison of their own minds—especially Buddhist disciples. What should be done?
Sakyamuni: You have not transmitted the teachings effectively.
Xuefeng: O Supreme Buddha of Infinite Wisdom, your teachings are already perfect—I cannot improve upon them.
Sakyamuni: No one in this world truly comprehends Buddhist teachings—except you.
Xuefeng: O Supreme Buddha, the nonmaterial world is eternal, while the material world changes in an instant. Once I enter the human world, everything falls under the laws of the material world—I have no time to further elaborate on the Buddhist teachings.
Sakyamuni: With a compassionate heart, you will find the time.
Xuefeng: What is my next step?
Sakyamuni: Write the Book of Tao Preaching.
Xuefeng: O Supreme Buddha, if I do not first write about the nonmaterial world, humanity will remain lost in confusion. This is also the will of the Ancestral Tathagata Buddha. Without understanding the nonmaterial world, humanity will not be able to enter the Lifechanyuan era after the impending catastrophe. I have no time to write the Book of Tao Preaching you mentioned.
Sakyamuni: If the hundred Celestials are not yet prepared, the time is not ripe. How can you write about the nonmaterial world? Before the conditions are met, first write the Book of Tao Preaching. When the Book of Tao Preaching is complete, the hundred Celestials will be ready.
Xuefeng: Thank you, O Supreme Buddha of Infinite Wisdom, for your guidance in dispelling my doubts.
