The Cycle of Cause and Effect: Everything is Inevitable

How has your life been? Good, or not so good? Satisfactory, or unsatisfactory?
I say, whether it is satisfactory or not, it is all fate!
Our current circumstances in this life have already been determined by the actions of our past lives. They are difficult to alter—they’ve been written into the script. No matter how we struggle, we can only follow the plot. We are not in control and cannot change much.
Do I have evidence for this? Yes!
Everything that Bodhidharma said holds true. Bodhidharma stated, “To know the causes of the past life, look at what you are enduring in this life; to know the outcomes of the future life, look at what you are doing in this life.”
To “endure” means to accept, bear, or shoulder. It signifies inevitability—there’s no escape. This word alone reveals that everything in this life is a result we are compelled to face. So, if you are poor in this life, don’t complain. If you encounter unreasonable people, face them calmly without hatred. If misfortunes befall you, accept them with composure. When blessings come, enjoy them; when suffering arrives, endure it. What is destined to come will come, and what is destined to leave will leave. Rushing changes nothing.
What about our future? What about our next life?
To uncover the answer, observe what you are doing in this life: “To know the outcomes of the future life, look at what you are doing in this life.”
Everything in this life is already predestined. What we do now lays the groundwork for the future. If, in this life, we remain jealous, resentful, comparative, angry, hateful, arrogant, selfish, possessive, or domineering, we shouldn’t expect to reach heaven in the next life.
I’ve said before that the Chanyuan Celestials in Lifechanyuan are not educated or cultivated—they are destined by heaven. That is why I search for Chanyuan Celestials rather than cultivating them. Whether someone is a Chanyuan Celestial has already been determined by the karma of their past lives.
The cycle of cause and effect is inevitable. By walking in the way of the Greatest Creator, reaching the Thousand-Year World, the Ten Thousand-Year World, and the Elysium Celestial Islands Continent is also inevitable.
