With childlike enthusiasm, two children, Jie Jing and Yu Lin, followed the distant sounds of cows to discover a cattle farm near the mango grove. Using translation software, the residents of the mango grove had a friendly and pleasant conversation with the farm owner. They mutually visited each other’s farms and orchards, sharing knowledge about planting and their harvests. Jie Jing and Yu Lin confidently went to visit the orchard of the farm owner located in Fang, while the farm owner’s friend came to Gongde Garden to meet us. During a conversation with this kind sister, Yang Le asked about and learned about the possibility of raising sheep in Thailand.
The Chilean girl Gabi is an ecotourism guide. Unlike traditional guides, she leads tourists through natural settings or ecological communities, fostering a deep connection with nature and encouraging environmental awareness. She inspires people to love and protect nature from their hearts. Gabi, who loves nature, does not believe in religion, and has no plans to marry in the future, understood and loved our lifestyle. She dislikes the jealousy and dishonesty often found in traditional male-female relationships. After several relationships, she chose to stay single and travel alone, experiencing different cultures and lifestyles, and finding a way of life she truly loves.
Gabi experienced six days of home life in Thailand. In the mornings, she worked in the fields with Yang Le and Jiao Er, and in the afternoons, she exchanged ideas about the Zen academy and watched home videos with Qianzi. She also learned Tai Chi from Yi Xian. During group activities, she made dumplings, baked cakes, played cards, and games with everyone. She even taught us the passionate South American dance, Salsa. The close-to-nature work and the rich and colorful entertainment and cultural activities made her feel the fullness, joy, harmony, and beauty of home life. She told me it was her first experience of community life, and it brought her unexpected happiness and joy! Everyone also liked this hardworking, polite, cheerful, and energetic girl. We hugged and blessed each other when we parted.
While waiting for the bus to Chiang Mai together, she suddenly asked me, "In your community, love and sex are free. If you have a man you deeply love, how do you manage to share and not feel any jealousy?" I told her that as humans, we are naturally possessive and unwilling to share. In the past, members of the Chinese community also had one-on-one relationships. It is a difficult hurdle for people to overcome. However, after more than ten years of the Zen academy culture and home life, we have gradually learned not to rely on others emotionally, but to focus on improving our qualities, achieving an independent and complete consciousness, and constantly elevating our love to a greater love. In this way, our love can meet the standards of immortals, ultimately achieving our ideal of leaving the human world and entering the immortal realm.
