Welcoming Visitors Silvia and Alexandra

As we stepped into 2025, the Thailand Second Home welcomed two young and beautiful visitors: Silvia, 31, from Italy, and Alexandra, 24, from South Africa.

Silvia is a psychotherapist who, like many of our other visitors, feels that traditional one-on-one, fixed relationships can limit personal growth. She resists the conventional path of marriage, stable jobs, and homeownership, preferring instead to embrace freedom and self-discovery through travel and learning. Alexandra, on the other hand, has lived in Thailand for three years, studying and teaching dance. She currently teaches contact improvisation at a camp in Chiangdao, just two hours from the homestead.

Due to their schedules, Silvia and Alexandra stayed at the homestead for only three days. During their visit, they participated in gardening, flower planting, and vegetable harvesting, fully immersing themselves in the serene, joyful atmosphere of the community.

On their final evening, Alexandra introduced contact improvisation dance in the Jianxing Hall. This group dance emphasizes creativity, body contact, and deep emotional connection among participants, fostering trust, support, and a sense of unity. The dance felt more like a joyful game, as laughter and warmth filled the hall.

One of the most memorable moments was an exercise where one dancer moved freely, simulating a falling or flying motion, and the group collectively supported them, ensuring they never hit the ground.

After the dance, everyone gathered in a circle to share their feelings and gratitude. The community expressed deep thanks to Silvia and Alexandra for bringing new energy and joy to the homestead. Both visitors shared that they felt deeply touched by their experience and hoped to return someday.

This week, while enjoying such special moments, the homestead also made significant progress in its construction work.
