Thai Home 2024 Celebrates the Spring Festival with Guests

In 2024, Thai Home welcomed its fourth Chinese New Year celebration. On the morning of New Year's Eve, twelve celestial beings dressed beautifully, full of anticipation, eagerly awaited the video calls with the spiritual guide. Upon meeting the guide, everyone was filled with energy, exuding even more joy, happiness, and gratitude.

Just like in previous years, we invited workers, neighbor mothers, elderly resident from the hospital, and their caregivers to join us in celebrating the Chinese New Year. To express our gratitude and respect for the temple, we first offered the prepared dumplings and dishes to the temple. Although the Abbot was not present, other monks performed rituals and blessings for us.

With the help and cooperation of Jiao'e and other members, Yulin, the kitchen chef, prepared over 20 delicious dishes that were a feast for the senses. We not only praised Yulin's culinary skills but also admired her calm and composed attitude in the face of such a grand occasion and her passionate dedication to serving everyone. To ensure the meal was served on time, Yulin and Jiao'e hardly rested the entire day. Sisters Jiejing YaQian Baichuan also assisted with dishwashing and ingredient selection. Everyone worked diligently and cooperatively in the kitchen, maintaining a warm and joyful atmosphere amidst the busy and orderly proceedings.

Sharing the sumptuous New Year's Eve feast with our guests added to the festive atmosphere. Our guests praised the diverse and colorful Chinese cuisine, needing several rounds to taste every dish presented. After the meal, Mom wanted to see us perform, so sisters once again presented the dances they had performed earlier, adorned in ordinary attire, aiming to bring joy and beauty to more people. We danced one after another with joy and passion. Following the dance, everyone showcased their singing talents, prompting the workers and caregivers to join in, creating a harmonious, joyful, and heartwarming atmosphere. Before leaving, Mom embraced each of us in gratitude. Seeing them enjoy a happy and joyous evening, our hearts were filled with sweetness.
