# The Watermelons Are Ripe, and VIPs Are Visiting

Now we have another larger field for free planting. First, the soil was piled up into small vegetable beds, and by the way paths were formed. Taros, sweet potatoes, passion fruit, corn, Thai melon, cucumber, pumpkin, eggplant, tomatoes, etc. were planted on the neat vegetable bed.Thank the Greatest Creator , after planting the seedlings and seeds, it rained a few times fortunately. Hope these little seedlings grow up happily and healthily under the care of sunshine and rain.

The watermelon has matured under the careful care of Yangle. Although the watermelon is not so big, it is very sweet. As a tribute, the first harvest of watermelons was given to monks in the temple to taste.

We continue to collect a large amount of organic matter such as leaves, rice husks and transport them to the vegetable field for mulching. The mulching work is very important. It can suppress weeds and continuously provide an environment suitable for the growth of microorganisms. After a long time, the mulch will decompose and become Nutrition that vegetables like to eat.

A few days ago was the Thai Songkran Festival. Ms. Zhao, who often came to the temple to worship, brought her relatives and friends to visit the yard. According to the workers, the restaurant and pavilion we used was all funded by this kind hearted Ms. Zhao. We are happy to have the opportunity to accompany her and her friends to visit the garden and pick vegetables for them.
