Celebrating Songkran at the Temple + Outing and Sightseeing

Yesterday was the third and final day of the Thai New Year Songkran Festival. Out of compassion, Longpao Buddha kindly invited the brothers and sisters of the Thai branch of our community to visit the temple and take part in blessings and celebration activities. Everyone brought fresh vegetables harvested from our garden as offerings to the temple. Afterward, they sat cross-legged in the temple hall alongside local people, listening to the monks' teachings and chanting scriptures, celebrating the New Year together. Once the chanting ended, Longpao Buddha had specially arranged a bountiful breakfast filled with a wide variety of food and fruits, and warmly invited everyone to enjoy the meal together. In this cozy and heartwarming atmosphere, everyone savored the delicious breakfast, feeling grateful and joyful. After the meal, Longpao Buddha personally gave a red envelope to Dengdeng as a New Year blessing and prepared an abundance of fruits and snacks for everyone before they left. With the Buddha’s compassionate care and love, the brothers and sisters were all beaming with smiles like blooming flowers, their hearts filled with happiness and gratitude. After the temple visit, Yang Le arranged an impromptu outing for everyone to visit nearby scenic spots, enjoy the view, and take memorable photos.
