Several lotus plants transplanted next to the restaurant pavilion six months ago have now spread out in the river, creating a picturesque lotus pond. Over the past week, pale pink lotus flowers have been blooming continuously, emitting a serene and heavenly fragrance, captivating the admiration of our brothers and sisters. In the past few days, we've had timely rains, nourishing the flowers, vegetables, and plants in the Thai garden, making it lush and fresh. The weather has also become cooler and more comfortable.
The platform near the kitchen pavilion, close to the river, had suffered from soil erosion due to prolonged exposure to the water. Previously, such maintenance work was handled by Hui Guang. Now that Hui Guang has left, unexpectedly, Rou Mei, who has a gentle demeanor, understands some construction work. With the help of Jiao E and Bai Chuan, they completed the task of fixing piles, laying soil, pouring cement, and laying bricks in just one morning. We couldn't help but admire the extraordinary talents of our brothers and sisters, who are indispensable in building our home!
In addition to taking care of the fruit tree seedlings in the mango orchard, Mang Guo, the elder brother, also plants papayas and other vegetables and grains. Ya Qian cooks, washes clothes, and takes care of Xiao Deng Deng, while Deng Deng is responsible for playing. In addition to his promotional work and flower care, Jie Jing, who usually wears glasses, has now taken up the task of mowing the lawn in the mango orchard with a lawnmower, showing a true spirit of a female warrior!
In the Thousand-Year Heavenly Realm, one of the punishments for mistakes is not being allowed to participate in collective labor. Indeed, collective labor in the garden is the happiest time for everyone. These days, we have been collectively helping Long Pao cut corn stalks and bring them back to feed the water buffalo and horses. We also completed the task of bagging hundreds of mango trees in the two mango orchards. Everyone worked and played together, with cheerful laughter echoing under the blue sky and white clouds, blending seamlessly with nature.
Long Pao returned from Chiang Mai with various snacks and treats for us. A few days ago, he bought pizza and clothes for each of our brothers and sisters. Seeing Long Pao looking at us with eyes full of deep affection and love makes it hard for us to leave him. He often says that as long as we are happy, he is happy. Such compassionate and loving behavior fills our hearts with gratitude and warmth. How can we not be moved and thankful for his Buddha-like compassion and radiance!
