The Value and Significance of Flow
Xuefeng
Everything in existence, every phenomenon, is the language of Greatest Creator. The ever-changing phenomena are dialogues between Greatest Creator and humanity. To understand the revelations of all things and phenomena is to comprehend Greatest Creator’s will.
When reading, we must first read the “wordless book of heaven.” All things and phenomena in the universe comprise this most miraculous book. Nature itself is the most valuable book, far surpassing the worth of any religious scripture or teachings from spiritual masters.
Through the wordless book of heaven, we come to understand the value and significance of flow.
The ocean flows because of its currents. Rivers flow because of elevation changes. Clouds flow because of the alternation between heat and cold. It is precisely because of the flow of oceans, rivers, and clouds that the Earth has wind, rain, snow, and the resources and environment necessary for the survival and reproduction of countless life forms.
The phrase “a stagnant pool” describes something that does not flow. When water stops flowing, it becomes stagnant. Stagnant water deteriorates, rots, and emits a foul odor. It fosters countless bacteria and viruses, harming the life around it.
Humanity’s invention of money, or currency, has value only when it flows. For example, 100 yuan gains value as it flows from Zhang San to Li Si, from Li Si to Wang Wu, and from Wang Wu to Zhao Liu. The faster it flows and the more people it passes through, the greater its value. However, if that 100 yuan is locked away in a bank or someone’s wallet and does not flow, it becomes meaningless to human society.
Observe human society: nations, ethnic groups, businesses, companies, and families with frequent personnel flow tend to thrive and advance. Flow prevents the generation of bacteria and viruses. Conversely, closed environments and systems that restrict movement often become “stagnant pools,” leading to tense interpersonal relationships, more conflicts, a rise in depression and suicides, and a tendency toward stagnation, ignorance, and rigidity.
From this, we can logically deduce a principle: flow is the most effective way to maintain the vitality of life. It is also the most direct and efficient way to create wealth and the key to achieving happiness, freedom, and joy.
Understanding the value and significance of flow means that, as a nation, one must open its doors to allow its citizens to travel abroad and welcome people from other countries. Creating a system of movement will lead the country toward prosperity and civilization. As a business, one must facilitate internal personnel flow. For example, if there are eight chain stores, allow employees to rotate between them. Let employees from store A move to store B, those from store B to store C, and so forth. This will invigorate the company, eliminating conflicts and frustrations arising from long-term co-working relationships.
As individuals, do not remain confined to one place or stuck in one relationship. Frequently changing where you live, work, and whom you interact with will make your mind increasingly agile and your thinking more developed.
This is why the Grand Harmony World, where national borders are eliminated, and people can move freely, will bring humanity happiness, joy, freedom, and well-being.
