Revelations from Nearly 30 Moves

On April 28, 2024, after living for over six years in Lac La Hache, I drove nearly five hours to move to the shores of Anahim Lake, a vacation paradise. The snowy coastal mountains are clearly visible, and Anahim Lake is vast, tranquil, and serene. Facing the lake and snow-capped mountains, backed by the vast primeval forest, I purchased this place which includes 8 wooden houses that can accommodate 30 people, and leased the management rights to 800 square kilometers of forest land, establishing a secluded haven for the Chanyuan celestials.

Looking back on the places I’ve lived, I realized I’ve moved nearly 30 times: Anahim Lake, Lac La Hache, Vancouver, Vanuatu, Lijiang, along the banks of the Peacock River in Korla, Luntai, Kuqa, Nanjing, Kunming, Anning, Chuxiong, Lincang, Mabelreign, Belvedere, Mount Pleasant, Eastlea, Marlborough, Greendale, Chitungwiza, Mbare, Avondale, Yuzhong, Zhangye, Jiuquan, Xiaheqing. In some areas, I moved three times, such as in Mount Pleasant, so in this life, I have moved nearly 30 times.

What are the benefits of moving?

Moving to a new place always fills one with curiosity and a sense of novelty, allowing one to appreciate different environments, house structures, and the ambiance different spaces provide, and the joy of rearranging and setting up everything anew. It’s an opportunity to discard many items that are seldom used or not needed, simplifying life. One can get away from troublesome environments and people. What are the downsides of moving?

Moving is exhausting; many things need to be repacked, and upon arrival, unpacked and arranged again. Sometimes, one can’t handle it alone and needs to ask for help.

From vacating the old residence to finding a new place, a series of procedures must be handled, and new addresses must be registered with relevant departments, companies, and individuals, which is not an easy task.

The new place requires planning and development, including planting flowers and trees, so one is often busy creating a new environment.

The most memorable revelation is that after becoming a Chanyuan celestial, moving has become extremely easy. For example, when I moved from Lac La Hache to Anahim Lake, everything was left intact for other Chanyuan celestials to live in, and I only needed to drive a car with some personal belongings to the new place. This is somewhat like moving in the Thousand-Year World!

Just speaking of moving, becoming a Chanyuan celestial is indeed a great blessing and fortune.
