Jack, a young man from Egypt, is a teacher who has been teaching English to children in Thailand for two years. He had been following the updates of the Lifechanyuan community in Thailand through the Facebook page for over seven months and was attracted to our simple and joyful lifestyle. After contacting Jiejing, Jack used his three-day holiday to travel from Sukhothai to Chiang Mai, embarking on a 10-hour long bus journey to visit and experience the Thailand branch of the Second Home.
During his brief three-day stay, Jack participated in various activities, including working in the fields, enjoying a hotpot party, playing games, and engaging in leisure activities. The simple labor and the warm, joyful atmosphere made him feel relaxed and happy. He marveled at how everything here was so beautiful and ideal. "Everything is organic," he exclaimed. The vegetables are organic, the people are genuine, and what people do here is in harmony with nature. He mentioned that even the air he breathed here felt fresher, more invigorating, and different from elsewhere. Jack was thrilled and expressed his hope that one day a similar branch could be established in Egypt.
In addition to this, everyone gathered in a circle for introductions. Some brothers and sisters introduced the community model to Jack, others shared their personal stories with Lifechanyuan, and some discussed their experiences and insights gained from living and cultivating in the community. These heartfelt exchanges and the warm, intimate atmosphere helped everyone grow closer and allowed Jack to gain a deeper and more practical understanding of the advantages of the community model and the charm of Lifechanyuan’s philosophy.
Jack's love for the Second Home inspired and encouraged us, filling us with positive energy. It made us realize that there are many more people like Jack around the world who are drawn to and long for the lifestyle of the Second Home. May we continue to evolve and develop our community, lighting the way for hardworking, kind-hearted people who yearn for a life in harmony with nature to find their way home!
