A Career That Never Faces Unemployment or Retirement
Xuefeng
Becoming a president comes with the constant risk of unemployment — just look at South Korea, where the risk is particularly high.
Serving as a chairman, manager, minister, or provincial governor — any high-ranking position — still carries the risk of sudden job loss.
And working as a laborer, store clerk, or hired hand? Even more so — unemployment can strike at any moment.
We soon realize that whether working for the state or a private employer, anyone who works for others always faces the risk of unemployment. And once one reaches a certain age, retirement becomes inevitable — if not voluntarily, then forcibly. It’s no longer a personal choice.
So, is there a kind of career that is immune to both unemployment and retirement?
Yes. In a society with sound legal protections for private property, being a farmer or a small business owner is a career that never faces unemployment or retirement.
Having a skill and using it to work for yourself is another such path — for example, being a chef, teacher, doctor, or artist.
Those who work in the realms of spirit and soul — such as soul mentors — are also part of this group.
Those who are devoted to the peace and happiness of all humankind, who persistently strive and climb the peaks of life and LIFE, who journey tirelessly toward the heavenly realm — these are people engaged in careers that never face unemployment or retirement.
As long as your fate is in someone else’s hands, unemployment and forced retirement are inevitable.
But if your life’s roadmap is in your own hands, and you live “in accordance with your nature without overstepping moral boundaries,” then you will never be unemployed, never retire.
