Recent Updates from the Thailand Community

Over the course of our journey, around 20 pioneers have contributed to transforming the Thailand Branch from a wild, overgrown area into a beautiful, well-organized community with a kitchen, housing, and accessible roads. In a foreign land, everyone has overcome numerous unimaginable challenges, and I want to extend my deepest respect and gratitude to each brother and sister who helped in this endeavor.

Currently, the Thailand Branch finds itself in a bit of a limbo due to uncertainties surrounding the land ownership. Our original plan was to build a proper hall, but we decided to abandon that idea for now. Instead, we recently renovated the old, dilapidated dining hall.

In the past few days, Zhishi, Kaisheng, and Qianmo have returned to their home countries, leaving behind five members: Tongxin, Foyi, Yaoming, Huiguang, and Earth. Given the current situation, our focus is on maintaining stability for the time being. Huiguang has secured a one-year student visa, while Huiyi and Qianzi are still awaiting the approval of their student visas. The future development of the Thailand Branch will proceed according to circumstances as they unfold.

For now, we remain grounded in the progress we’ve made, open to what the future holds, and ever grateful for the dedication of everyone who has contributed to creating this oasis in a foreign land. 2019-10-02
