Today is the last day of 2017. The landscape is a winter wonderland with outdoor temperatures at minus 27 degrees Celsius. The sky is clear and the air is exceptionally fresh. Lac La Hache is covered in a blanket of white. We walked from one side of the lake to the other and back, a journey that took over an hour. Although I grew up in northwest China, walking through such thick ice and snow is a first for me and a moment worth documenting.
