An Interview with Yangle of Lifechanyuan International Family

It was both a pleasure and a privilege to sit down with Yangle, one of the key coordinators and guiding figures within the Lifechanyuan International Family in Chiang Mia, Thailand —a global eco-community inspired by the visionary teachings of Xue Feng. More than just an interview, our conversation felt like stepping into the stream of a living philosophy—one where life is not merely survived, but consciously celebrated. Yangle radiates a quiet strength and humility, the kind that comes not from authority, but from deep alignment with values that give life meaning. As one of the individuals helping to hold the living rhythm of Lifechanyuan, his insights offered a glimpse into a community where harmony, sincerity, and spiritual awakening are not ideals spoken about from afar—but lived, every day. With warmth and clarity, Yangle shared how his own sense of hope, peace, and purpose has been deeply nourished by the values expressed in the Chanyuan Corpus, written by Xue Feng—the spiritual founder of the Lifechanyuan movement. For him, these are not just teachings on a page; they are living principles that shape the way people relate, work, care for the earth, and grow inwardly. Hope Born from Values ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• When asked what sustains his optimism in a world facing so much division and uncertainty, Yangle didn’t speak of abstract utopias or future promises. Instead, he pointed to something immediate and tangible: the values that underlie the Lifechanyuan way of life. He spoke of: Self-refinement as a joyful process, not a burden; Freedom from personal attachment as the key to peace, not loss; Service to others and nature as a way of connecting to something greater than the self; And communal harmony as a natural expression of spiritual growth. According to Yangle, these values aren’t imposed—they’re awakened. And once they’re awakened, life begins to feel lighter, more spacious, more aligned. He emphasized that these principles, passed down through Xue Feng’s teachings, don’t demand belief—they invite transformation. They don’t restrict—they liberate. And in that liberation, hope is no longer fragile; it becomes foundational. Living What Is Taught ••••••••••••••••••••••••• As we spoke, it became clear that Lifechanyuan is not about lofty philosophies divorced from everyday life. It is about embodied wisdom—gardens tended with care, meals shared in simplicity, decisions made from mutual respect, and each member growing through conscious community. Yangle is words, thoughtful but never forced. He spoke with the grace of someone who has discovered something real and wants, not to preach it, but to share it with whoever is sincerely searching. An Invitation, Not a Prescription •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Perhaps what struck me most was Yangle’s humility. There was no claim of superiority, no hidden agenda. Just a gentle invitation: if you are looking for a life of peace, harmony, and joyful growth, then perhaps Lifechanyuan is the family you didn’t know you were missing. In a time when many feel disoriented, disconnected, or overwhelmed, voices like Yangle’s—and communities like Lifechanyuan—remind us that another way of living is not only possible, but already happening. And behind it all is a guide—Xue Feng—whose writings continue to light the path. But as Yangle reminded me, it is up to each person to walk that path with their own feet, with sincerity in the heart and wisdom as the compass.
