Dancing with Nature in the Gentle Breeze and Warm Sunshine

Yesterday was a perfect day with bright sunshine and a gentle breeze. The sky was clear and blue, and the white clouds drifted lazily. The temperature was just right and the air was fresh—ideal for a spring outing. Since we had only one guest that day, our group of five decided to go on a spring excursion!

We drove about 25 minutes to a lake called Greeny Lake. The lake was beautifully framed by lush green trees, and a few small boats were gently drifting on the water, with locals enjoying their leisurely time. Residents were fishing by the lake, and the scene was picturesque and delightful.

Next, we drove another 25 minutes to Timothy Lake Farm, a family-run farm owned by a German couple in their sixties or seventies. They were hardworking and skilled, and their several greenhouses were filled with vibrant, healthy plants—flowers, vegetables, and fruits. Their house, a lakefront property, sat on a gentle slope directly facing the lake. The well-maintained lawn extended all the way to the lake’s edge, and there was a floating dock reaching out into the water. Standing on it felt like being right in the middle of the lake—it was absolutely beautiful. We took many photos there.

Finally, we drove to Timothy Mountain Ski Area, a nearby ski resort. By the time we arrived, the snow had already melted, but we saw the resort's layout and numerous log houses that were made from the same type of raw timber as our Academy’s log houses. It felt very familiar and we particularly liked the log cabins. After snapping a few photos, we quickly left because there were several small depressions with lots of mosquitoes. We took a brief look at the summer ski resort, which was quite amusing.

The evening before, Xinrui and I went for a walk at Kokanee Bay Resort across from the Academy and took photos of the lake at dusk—it was also stunning. The Academy is at its most beautiful now, so I’ve included some photos of the Academy for everyone to enjoy.
