# The Position of Life

When we understand the origin of the universe, the Greatest Creator, and humanity, and comprehend the value and role of time and space, we come to realize that humans are not the highest beings in the cosmos, nor are they the lowest animals. Humans are a combination of spirit and flesh, positioned between angels (Celestial Beings and Buddhas) and animals. Human life serves as a transit station between lower-level and higher-level life spaces. From birth to the death of the physical body, humans continuously accumulate merits. With abundant accumulation, life evolves towards higher levels, with minimal accumulation, life remains stagnant (reincarnating on Earth in the next life), and without any accumulation, life devolves to lower levels.
